Department of Social Sciences

The Department of Social Sciences deals with the transfer of modern technologies, creation and agro marketing efficiency, value chain analysis of agricultural and horticultural crops. Courses on social sciences will focus on developing agro-based entrepreneurship skills among the students development through experiemnetal hands-on training and field exposure visits. This department will also mold the students to be competent to face the demands of the job market. Practical Learning as Hands of Training, Rural Agriculture Work Experience (RAWE), Commercial Agriculture Courses, Post Harvest Technology, Computer Applications, Environmental Sciences, Agriculture Biotechnology, Organic Farming, Farming System and Natural Resource Management, Bio-fertilizers, Bio-pesticides, Integrated Nutrient Management and Integrated Pest Management ,Sericulture are incorporated in the syllabus and given top main concern for teaching good basic foundation in terms of acquiring knowledge and skill.
