Crop Improvement

Simultaneously, the discipline equip analytical and laboratory skills to the students during Plant Breeding & Genetics courses. The department which covers extensive disciplines of agricultural and horticultural crops. Innovative research in the department will addresses the improvement of crops for various traits from seed characteristics and to crop architectural characteristics of profitable production. This department is well designed and equipped with the hi-fi tools and facilities. To demonstrate and to impart knowledge, the associated skills to students as well under education and research which deals with the breeding and evaluation of the crop varieties, improving seed quality and development of markers to identify these varieties and hybrids. The students are taught to be technically sound in both the disciplines of practical and theory aspects in these areas through their studies.
